King & Spalding has created the Directors Governance Center (DGC) to provide public company directors with practical information regarding corporate governance, to support their work as directors. The DGC is comprised of two types of items—original postings that are being published for the first time on the DGC, and articles and other items that have been published elsewhere and are included in the DGC with a brief introduction by one of our editors.
The DGC includes information from a broad variety of contributors, including accounting firms, board consultants, search firms, corporate secretaries and attorneys, as well as academics and organizations that are active in corporate governance. Our editors review a broad variety of publications and websites, seeking high-quality items that will be of interest to public company directors
For each item included in the DGC, we provide an introduction to the item, and also provide “tags” and cross-references to other related items that may be of interest. Users of the Directors Governance Center may browse postings by topics, by the three major board committees, by tags, or by full text searches of the editors’ postings.
Visitors to the Directors Governance Center may sign-up to receive alerts whenever a new item is added to the DGC, and our Twitter feed will highlight current developments in corporate governance. The DGC also includes “Links & Resources” to websites that may be of interest to public company directors.
We hope that you will find the Directors Governance Center useful and we welcome your suggestions regarding additional features to support your work as directors of public companies.
